The name AKiTi comes from the ancient Sumerians. It is made up of three words; together they form the A.Ki.Ti expression which, roughly translated, means "To build life on Earth". The meaning appealed to me because growth is entwined with life, and both are very important to me personally. As you may notice from my website, most of my work has to do with building, learning, betterment, enlightenment. I am a builder. The fact that this expression comes from the ancient Sumerians gave added appeal to this expression; in using A.Ki.Ti as the name of this website, I am acknowledging the founders of the first civilization on Earth and their contribution to humanity's advancement.
